Boiler Guide
Utility Pro’s install many different type of boilers, below is a list of the boilers that we install & service.
Combination boilers
You may hear this as the shortened version – ‘Combi’ boiler.
This type of boiler combines a high efficient water heater & central heating within one product.
They are very energy efficient as they heat water as and when you need it, rather than heating stored water in a hot water tank. They are also very small and your large hot water tank will no longer be necessary.

System boilers
A system boiler uses a cylinder to store hot water. These type of boilers work by heating a large amount of water and storing it, until its used. These are not as efficient as a ‘combi’ boiler.

Standard boiler
You may hear this also named Regular or Conventional, they are the largest type of boiler. Hot water is stored in a cylinder (like system boilers) but they are fed by a seperate cold water tank – these are usually kept in the loft. There is another tank called a ‘feed and expansion cistern’, which is often also found in the loft.
