Who supplies my electricity, gas & water?
There are many reasons why you may need to confirm who supplies utilities into a property.
Some of these are:
- Moving into a new home
- Couples who are separating
- House shares
- Landlord moving into a property after tenants have left

The first step would be to find a bill and make contact with the supplier however, most companies are now paperless so this may not be an option.
Electricity Supplier
You will need to verify who your network operator is. Once you know this, you can contact them to confirm who your electricity supplier is.
To find out your network operator, use the Energy Networks Associations online search tool.
Gas Supplier
Meter Point Administration Service’s have an online search tool which can be used to confirm your gas supplier. Alternatively, you can call them on 0870 608 1524.
You will need the full address of the property for both checks.
Water supplier
WaterUK has an online search tool which can be used to confirm which water companies serve your area.
